“The Young Chopin” Lecture by Prof. John Rink Presented by the Chopin Society of Atlanta

Chopin Society of Atlanta invites you to a lecture “The Young Chopin” presented by John Rink, a prize-winning author and musicologist, who will discuss the composer’s early performance – what he calls “apprenticeship” – in Warsaw and Vienna.

John Rink is widely considered one of the most skilled experts on Chopin’s work. He has published extensively about his compositions, music performance, and legacy. Apart from enjoying a distinguished writing career, he has held several prestigious teaching positions, including Professor of Musical Performance Studies at the University of Cambridge, UK, and has served as a member of the jury of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
