Top Watercolor Artists to Exhibit at Johns Creek Arts Center

Exquisite landscapes, inspiring figurative work, glowing still lifes and vivid abstracts will captivate visitors this winter at the Johns Creek Arts Center in Johns Creek, Georgia. This is the first Georgia Watercolor Society Signature Members’ Exhibition, and will be held from January 28 to February 24, 2012, showcasing 50 recent works by GWS Signature members. Signature members are those artists in the Georgia Watercolor Society who have earned this prestigious status through acceptance and awards in a number of juried shows. The Georgia Watercolor Society was founded in 1975 and now boasts approximately 500 members.

Art in Bloom

Johns Creek, Ga. – Experience art and flowers in a fresh way when the Johns Creek Arts Center presents the second annual “Art in Bloom,” a two-day celebration (March 15-16) of timeless art interpreted by some of the Southeast’s most talented floral designers.
Presented in collaboration with the Johns Creek Arts Center Guild, “Art in Bloom” follows the concept – established more than 30 years ago by Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts – of pairing the art of floral design with two-dimensional art pieces.
“Art in Bloom” opens with Preview Gala and Silent Auction followed on day two with flower design demonstrations and painting workshops.
A benefit for the Johns Creek Arts Center, “Art in Bloom” kicks off with a Gala Preview Party, March 15, at Gallery Events, 10700 State Bridge Road in Johns Creek.
